250 Youth participate in 9th Shram Sanskar Chhavani

9th, Shram Sanskar Chhavani is being held here in Snehalaya between 16th, to 18th Jan. 2009. 250 youths from Ahmednagar and neighboring districts have attended the camp. Dr. S. K. Hulabe, a veteran social worker and former President of CSRD  College of Social work inaugurated the Chhavani by hoisting a flag and by giving a pledge of Chhavani to youths.  The youths have interacted with many practicing social workers at grass roots, half of the day. They have also physically worked together for digging the foundation of the new proposed auditorium and cleaning of Snehalaya’s premises and serving the sick inmates.

Mr. Milind Kulkarni, Mr. Arun Aher, Dr. Mukund Naik, Mr. Ramakant Tamboli, Mr. Suwalal Shingavi have a meaningful dialogue with the youths.  Everyone was given responsibility to prepare and present his plan of practicing social commitment at his surrounding areas.  The interested youths will be given special guidance to start the grass root work of their own choice.    

Adv. Shayam Asawa guided the youths to use the 'Right to Information Act', and to be ready to struggle for the rights.  The youths are in the process to go ahead with values and with good impressions.  The motivating films are also being shown to the youths in the camp.  Snehalaya is increasing the brotherhood among the youth.

The Stiching Geron, Netherlands based trust has extended their financial support for the youth camp.
