International volunteering.  Students of LeedsMet comes every year for learning and volunteering in Snehlaya. They contributing and participating in various activities, like teaching, Taking  English  teaching classes for children, Art & craft, Painting,etc. They takes  the information of Snehalaya's work and publish on these international volunteering  blog. We welcome the next batch of eleven students  for  volunteering & visit again in Snehalaya on 28th December 2013.

We are indeed happy to convey you that Snehalaya has been accredited by Credibility Alliance (http://www.credibilityalliance.org/index.php) and received the certificate under Desirable Norms. This Certificate is valid for a period of 5 years. From   November 27^th 2013 to November 26^th 2018. We are now the member of Credibility Alliance as per their procedures.

Snehalaya's Renuka Dhatonde is Women of Pure Wonder

Snehalaya's Renuka Dahatonde in Women Of Pure Wonder, a book by the Vodafone Foundation.The book chronicles the struggle, survival and success of 60 extraordinary women. Book was released by Bollywood Actor Kajol in Delhi.

Snehalaya's Snehajyot project marked as paithfinding by M.S.A.C.S.

Maharashtra State AIDS control Society (M.S.A.C.S.) felicitated Snehalaya's Snehajyot project for the outstanding dedicated work for women in prostitution. The programme was organized by Maharashtra State AIDS control society and the state health department on the occasion of World Aids Day in Mumbai. 

Mr. Suresh Shetti, Health Minister of Maharashtra state said that Snehalaya has established all it's projects before the government's initiative. Snehalaya is not only working for the people but with the group of beneficiaries. Snehajyot had successfully reduced the spread of H.I.V. -Aids and other sexually transmitted diseases and sustained the results since last 2 decades. Snehalaya created a good example of the empowerment and collectivization of the prostitutes. Minister offered a scroll and a citation to team Snehajyot. 

Mr. Raosaheb Dushing (Snehalaya's trustee), Mr. Pravin Mutyal ( Project Manager) have received the scroll by Hon. Shetty.

A 12 members team of Snehajyot went for this ceremony on 1st December 2013, World Aids Day in Mumbai.

Snehalaya’s Ex-Students get together in the name of ‘Snehmilan’

Ahmednagar (9-11-2013): In Snehalaya a get together event in the name of ‘Snehmilan’ were organized where all the Ex-students were invited by Snehalaya. Snehalaya has benefited more than 600 children by making them stand on their feet. All the beneficiaries with their partners and kids were present in the occasion. The complete responsibility of the students from the initial stage till they succeed in making their career is under Snehalaya’s care.

Mr. Suvalal Shingvi(Bapuji) motivated the students by giving them the speech and conveyed ”There is no age-bar for pursuing education, if you are earning money with that you should continue with your further studies.”In this event many ex-students share their thoughts with each other for promoting the mission of Snehalaya to help each women and children in distress in whatever way we can. They also spread the message to make a straight path for the pass outs of Snehalaya so that they can easily stand on their feet.

In this intention some of the ex-students and the beneficiaries who are involved with activities of Snehalaya from beginning started a separate program in the name of ‘Jeevan Nirman Kendra’ for these pass-out students So that here they can come whenever they want and can be in touch with each other for creating a helping platform for the pass outs of Snehalaya.  

The main objective is to give guidance and help to the ex-students for further studies and for a job. This project is co-ordinate by Mr. Anil Gawade, Mr. Bharat Kulkarni, Mr. Ajay Kale, Mr. Datta Panchal, Ms Puja Gaikwad, Mr. Anuj Katariya, Ms. Rekha Nipankar and other ex-students. A massive cycle rally in Ahmednagar to highlight & protest atrocities on women

On 22^nd October 2013 a massive cycle rally was organized in Ahmednagar by all the Snehalaya family special contribution from Snehadhar team of Snehalaya in the name of ‘Samvedna Jagruti Cycle Rally’ to highlight and protest atrocities on women. In this Bicycle rally more than 300 members were participated. The other social organization from Ahmednagar and volunteers from all the age group got participated to spread the message of stopping crimes against women and sought cooperation of each person to prevent them.

Ms. Swati Bhatkal from the team of Aamir Khan’s show Satyamev Jayate gave a motivational speech she said,” A proper mental balance should be kept and behavior with women in the society must improve to make every citizen safe while on streets, it’s not only the responsibility of police to stop crime every citizen is responsible to fight crimes against women.”

The cycle rally was lead by social activists Mr. Hiralalji Yadav. The rally begin from Wadia Park, Ahmednagar by giving the green flag signal from the District Collector Dr. Sanjeev Kumar and District SP Mr. Raosaheb Shinde and it finish at Rehabilitation Center of Snehalaya, MIDC, Ahmednagar.
