Workshop on Child Rights

Snehalaya’s Childline Project celebrating its 11^th year of grass root services to needy children and children in difficult circumstances through its 24X7 toll free 1098 Child Helpline. On the occasion of 11^th Annual Ceremony Project Childline organised one day Workshop for NGOs at Snehalaya’s Rehabilitation Center, Alliance Hall, Ahmednagar.  

Within the workshop various aspect of Children under 18 like behaviour, thinking, psychology, child rights, health, nutrition, etc. Child Psychology student Ms. Florence Koenderink from Holland  and Child Psychologist Prof. Madhukar Kale was sharing thoughts with presented NGOs representatives and Caretakers. Total 35 NGO participants were presented located at Shevgaon, Shrirampur, Mirajgaon, Shrigonda, Nagar, Sangamner.         

Snehalaya's 14 Children use their 1st vote right on today, 17th April. 2014.

स्नेहालयास मदत

प्रिय मित्रांनो , स्नेहालय परीवारातफे शुभेच्छा . आपण स्नेहालय परिवाराचे निकट सदस्य आहात. त्यामुळे एक महत्वाची विनंती आपणास करीत आहे. स्नेहालय सध्या एका मोठ्या आर्थिक संकटातून जात आहे. आपल्या संस्थेचे बहुतांश प्रकल्प लहान, वैयक्तिक देणगीदारांच्या समर्थनावर काम करत आहेत. परंतु आपली गंगाजळी रिकामी झाल्याने दरमहा खर्चाचे सुमारे १२ लाख रुपये आपल्याला कष्टपूर्वक गोळा करावे लागतात. सध्या एड्स बाधितांचे रुग्णालय, हिमातग्राम, स्नेहधार, रेदिओनगर ९०.४ F.M. , पुणे स्नेहधार प्रकल्प, बालभवन प्रकल्प, अनामप्रेम, स्नेहालय ई- विद्यालय, अशा प्रकल्पांसाठी आव्हानात्मक परिस्थिती निर्माण झाली आहे. पुनर्वसन संकुलातील २०० बालकांच्या पालन पोषणासाठी कोणतेही निश्चित दाते उपलब्ध नाहीत. स्नेहालायाचे काम मनापासून आणि प्रामाणिकपणे आपण सर्व करतो. त्याची समाज दाद देतो. पण आपल्या अडचणी मांडताना स्नेहालय परिवाराला नेहमीच संकोच वाटत आला. त्यामुळे कामासोबतच अडचणी खूप वाढल्या. त्यात शौचालय , कर्मचारी निवास , वस्तू विक्री केंद्र, पुणे येथील स्नेहाधार प्रकल्प समाविष्ट आहे. मागील ३ महिन्यात पगार देण्यातही बराच उशीर झाला. या वरून संकटाची कल्पना आपणास येईल. तुम्हाला एक विनंती करतो. आपण आपल्या मित्र आणि नातेवाइकांना विनंती करा. स्नेहालय मधील स्त्रिया आणि मुलांचे एक वेळ अन्न आपण आपला जन्मदिन, स्मृतिदिन, शुभेच्चा भोजन अश्या स्वरुपात देण्याचे त्यांना सुचवा. त्यासाठी रुपये 7500/ - त्यांनी स्नेहालय , अहमदनगर या नावे चेक द्वारे अथवा ई - हस्तांतरण करून द्यावेत. आपले काही मित्र कॉर्पोरेट क्षेत्रात कार्यरत आहेत. फेब्रुवारी आणि मार्च महिन्यात कॉर्पोरेट्स, मोठ्या कंपन्या स्वयंसेवी संस्थांना आर्थिक मदत देतात. त्यांना आयकर कायद्याच्या कलम 80 जी अंतर्गत आयकरात सवलत मिळते. त्यांना आपण स्नेहालय च्या मदतीसाठीचा प्रस्ताव द्यावा. गरज असल्यास आम्ही देखील तपशीलवर माहिती आणि प्रस्ताव सदर करू शकतो. अनेक व्यक्ती देखील दान देतात आणि आयकर सवलत मिळवितात. स्नेहालय अशा देणगीदारांना 80 जी प्रमाणपत्रासह पावती देते. आपण केवळ सुचविले तरी अनेकजण आनंदाने मदत करतात. तसेच हा देण्यातील आनंद मिळून दिल्याबदल आपले क्रुतज्ञ राहतात. आम्ही ईमेलद्वारे स्नेहालयची संपूर्ण माहिती देऊ शकतो. तसेच www.snehalaya.org / www.snehankur.org या वेबसाईटवर सर्व माहिती उपलब्ध आहेच. आमच्या स्थानिक टीम सदस्य जा आणि अहमदनगर , पुणे , मुंबई , औरंगाबाद , नवी मुंबई , जळगाव , नाशिक , ठाणे , नागपूर , बीड , चंद्रपूर , परभणी , अमरावती , बेळगाव , सातारा , कोल्हापूर , गोवा , बंगळूर अशा ठिकाणी आपले कार्यकर्ते देणगीदारांना समक्ष भेटू शकतात. अंबादास चव्हाण 9011020171 किंवा रोहित परदेशी 9850128678 यांना अधिक माहितीसाठी आपण संपर्क करावा. ते आवश्यक प्रस्ताव सादर करतील आणि पावती दात्यापर्यंत पोहोचती करण्याची जवाबदारी त्याची आहे.

Trust Act Provisions and Responsibilities – Informative Workshop organized by Snehalaya

Snehalaya had organized the workshop on subject “Trust Act Provisions and Responsibilities” on 2^nd February 2014 for its associated nonprofit organizations and concern staff. Mr.Ashok Kurapatti, a founder member of Snehalaya organization was a speaker of this workshop. He is a well experienced and has deep knowledge of Bombay Trust Act 1950 and Cooperative Act as well.

The workshop included the following topics of interest: Brief Introduction, History of Trust Act, Sections and Sub-sections within the Act (Section 40,41, Income Tax section 11, 12, 80, 22), etc,.

The key issue was “Change in Report’s Process and Compliances”. Notably – Investment by Trust and NGO Accounting and Annual Auditing was also focused in discussion.

Anamprem, Account Dept, Project Asst. Director, Project Manager and Admin were also among the participants for this workshop.

Anti-Human Trafficking Movement by Snehalaya

Human trafficking is a booming international trade, making billions of dollars at the expense of millions of victims, many of them children, who are robbed of their dignity and freedom. Although most of us have never witnessed this crime, it happens every day all around the world.Teamwork is vital if we want to take the fight against human trafficking to new levels.With this Snehalaya have started the movement to fight against Human Trafficking across the state.

The movement started on 10th February 2014 from Ranjangaon town(Pune) and got a huge response from the participants. There was a meeting with the delegates like Pathania Madam (Chaitanya Mahila Mandal),Shri Gulabrao Poal Commissioner of Police, Pune & Pl Mr. Sanjay Nlkam ,  Mrs. Sushama Chavan, in the afternoon and in the evening they organized four programs at Budhwar Peth (Red Light Area). Many questions were raised by the participants regarding the rehabilitation in Snehalaya . Moving ahead on 12th February the Anti Trafficking movement was organized in various colleges, on streets, Pune Station, Shivajinagar Station, Swarget and Kedgaoun choufula. On12th Feb going ahead in Solapur District where Kranti Mahila Sangh also participated in the movement and visited various colleges&institutes to convey the message against Human Trafficking.On 14^th Feb the Sensitization program was held at Beed  city organized by Beed Child line. More than 100 students and staff members were present in the program and the other one was also arranged at Mauli Kala Mahavidyalaya. Moving ahead on 15^th Feb the team have visited the Red Light Area to share the concept of minor free brothel to the brothel owner and got a positive response from them. Than the team reached at Gevrai, in Gevrai the programs were organized in many rural schools and also in the Pharmacy College. The cooperation of school,college students and the principals were really appreciable. After the all sessions the team was got many valuable suggestions which will surely help in future.The movement is lead by Snehalaya's team including Kundan Pathare,Hanif Shaikh, Pravin Mutyal ,Navnath Lokhande,etc. 

   The movement is still going will update you with the ongoing activities of the Snehalaya team.

‘Bravery Award’

Kundan Pathare coordinator of  Child Line Ahmednagar felicitated with “Bravery Award”

           Mr.Kundan Pathare is engaged in Child Line activities, as a coordinator since 2006 & handles the cases related to children below 18 years. He has to deal with many complicated issues, cases ranging from providing shelter & education facility to every children as well as victims of rape cases, Child abuse  & child marriage cases. Many times Child Line team member has to face the strong opposition by the relatives and villagers, mainly in cases of Child marriage. Sometimes the team is threatened of dire consequences & at such times we face the situations taking the help of police dept .We have focus on protecting the child life & maintaining the law & order.

            On the occasion of Guru Govindsinghji’s birth anniversary & in memory of Harnamsingh Vadhva, Vadhava family gave ‘Bravery Award’ & felicitated Mr. Kundan Pathare, at Ahmednagar on 5^th January 2014.
