Visit of Shabbir Bohra to Snehalaya

Mr. Shabbir Bohra had visited Snehalaya on 7^th and 8^th Oct. Shabbirbhai  is originally from Pachora village in Jalgaon district. He took his school education in Pachora. Later, he studied in Mumbai and worked in Glaxo Pharmaceuticals for 4 years. He later worked in London and then shifted to USA. He is  a Chartered Accountant (CPA) by profession and was active in this profession in USA. He has 1 son and 2 daughters. His son is an engineer and daughters are doctors.  They all are well-settled in USA. Shabbirbhai's children told him that they did not want his property as they have enough. Shabbirbhai has decided to donate a major share of his hard earned money to society. He came to India to search for the dedicated NGOs. Incidentally, Shabbirbhai came in contact with Hon. Ramesh Kacholia and Caring Friends.

Shabbirbhai  had visited Samaritan Help Mission of Mamoon Akhter (Kolkata) and Pariwar Kendra during his last visit. This time he has visited Snehalaya, Sampark, the project of Jeetubhai and Rehana of Rajkot, Nilima Mishra’s Bhagini Nivedita Gramin Vidnyan Niketan.

Pankajaji Lodha Celebrates Birthday in Snehalaya

Mr.  Pankajaji Lodha is a founder of Sai Nirma Group in Shirdi. He had visited Snehalaya on the occasion of his birthday on 7th Oct. along with his 150 friends. He had shared his precious happy moments with children at Snehalaya. He and his friends had contributed 1 lakh 15 thousand rupees at the occasion.

Snehalaya’s Student Babalu Puajari Selected for Divisional Level Sport Competition

Ahmednagar, 8^th Oct. 2012

The latest news of student achievement is that Babalu Puajari has been selected for divisional level in running competition. Yesterday on 7^th October, he participated in district level outdoor games competition under the 17-year group for 3000 mtr. running. He got 1^st rank in this competition and was selected for divisional level running competition which will be held in Balewadi at Pune city.

Babalu is now studying in 10^th standard from Rupibai Motilalji New English Medium School, Ahmedangar.  We wish a bright future to him.

Snehalaya's Two Daughters Married on 7th Oct.

Today Snehalaya’s two daughters start a new life. Ms. Manisha Netake and Ms. Devi Pulade got married on today with Mr. Damodar Patil (Kedgaon, Ahmednagar) and Mr. Sharad Kulkarni (Shrirampur), respectively.  Damodar is working in a well-known company at Kedgaon MIDC area and Sharad is also serviced in Garware company at Shrirampur.  

The marriage ceremony program took place this morning at Shri Kshetra Dharampuri, Ahmednagar, just 4 km away from Snehalaya’s Rehabilitation Center, MIDC. There were many honorable guests from different groups of society and Snehalaya’s representatives were present at the program to bless the newly married couples.

“Suvarna Jayanti Rajasw Abhiyan 2012”

Snehalaya always has taken the initiative for women rights and awareness in society. Recently on 2^nd October, Snehalaya’s Snehjyot Project and SETU office had organized the camp under “Suvarna Jayanti Rajasw Abhiyan 2012.” The main purpose was to distribute various government certificates. The program was conducted at the head office of Kopargaon city council. Mr. Rahul Jadhav (chief guest), Mrs. Surikhatai Rakshe (collector), chief person of city council, Mr. Vijay Vahadane and members of Vande Mataram Organization were present in the program.

This is the first time in 40 years to conduct this type of camp for issuing government certificates including ration card, residence proof, identity cards, etc. The chief guest Mr. Rahul Jadhav had introduced the important information regarding various government schemes and its benefits for needy and neglected groups of society. He suggested the need to having a network organizing the coordination within social organizations, beneficiaries and the government in order to gain the advantages and facilities. During this camp program many certificates were issued including caste certificates and residence proof to college students, identity cards to senior citizen people, Sanjay niradhar scheme card to widows, and BPL ration card issued to 8 women belonging to the category of victims of prostitution. Snehalaya’s Snehjyot played a very active role in this camp.

Recently on 2^nd Oct. 2012, Maharashtra Judo Association had organized the 40^th Maharashtra State-Level Judo Competition at Nasik city. Snehalaya’s two daughters named as Miss Bhagyashi Thorat and Miss Varsha Parode were selected for judo competition and they both have achieved bronze medals. Both are now studying in 6^th and 7^th, respectively. We wish both of them good wishes and best luck!
